The unprecedented COVID-19 global pandemic has had an immediate and seismic impact in Bali, where tourism forms the backbone of the economy. Over 85% of the population are reliant on the travel industry, people will quite simply no longer be able to support themselves and feed their families during this crisis. They urgently need our help.
In early March, we launched ‘COMM.UNITY’, an initiative offering free food packs to our staff, their families, and the local community. We swiftly recognised the need to significantly extend the reach of this programme across the island, and we’re now asking for your help to make it happen. We have the teams and processes in place. Put simply, the more donations we receive, the more people we can help immediately.
The huge hit to tourism on the island is leading to families not being able to eat. People are going hungry as you read this and with your support, we can scale up distribution of our food packs fast to reach more people who need our help now.
